Twitter

So what's the purpose of Twitter? I like that it can post to the blog, but why is it "better than"? Is it the brevity - The fact that I can only type 140 characters, so I must distill to the most basic element of what I want to say?

I've decided that I like Twitter for keeping track of what I'm reading, so that how I'm using it.

I haven't figured out twitter either, except that it might be a fun thing to let people know what other people in the family are doing if they all use their cell phones to update their goings-on. Seems to me the same as "status" on the Facebook profile.

I like that you are using it for what you are reading.

I haven't even gotten to Twitter yet, in fact I think that I am officially stuck on Thing #2 (no time), but am commenting here because I think from reading your older posts that you are LIVING MY DREAM! How did you get my dream? You have chickens? I want chickens! You have a cow skull? I want a cow skull (with living cow around it)!
I look forward to seeing what this Twitter thing is all about AND seeing more of my dream come to life on your blog :)

The DC has been experimenting with Twitter and I've ended up liking it. I think it would be great for conferences to keep up with people in a huge city.

The 140 characters limit actually drives me nuts. I thought Twitter was ultra stupid when I first started on it with the DC, but now it's a bit addictive.
